Day-ahead prices for Switzerland, how much a battery could trade each day, and how the market compares with its neighbours.
Switzerland sits in the middle of the European grid but is outside the EU day-ahead coupling, so its auction runs separately and is matched to its neighbours' prices afterwards. Large reservoir and pumped hydro plants in the Alps shift energy between hours and seasons, and Swiss prices usually follow Germany, France and Northern Italy closely. Swissgrid runs the balancing markets.
