Shelly script

Paste into Scripts on a Shelly Plus/Pro relay: it switches on during the cheapest hours and checks every 5 minutes.

// NordShifts: relay on during the cheapest 3 hours of the day (LV)
let URL = "https://nordshifts.com/api/electricity/feeds/LV/now.json?hours=3";
function check() {
  Shelly.call("HTTP.GET", { url: URL, timeout: 15 }, function (res, err) {
    if (err !== 0 || !res || res.code !== 200) return; // keep the last state if the feed is unreachable
    let data = JSON.parse(res.body);
    let on = data.now !== null && data.now.is_cheap === true;
    Shelly.call("Switch.Set", { id: 0, on: on });
  });
}
check();
Timer.set(5 * 60 * 1000, true, check);

Day-ahead auction prices in EUR/MWh before taxes, grid fees and supplier margin. Fair use: one request every few minutes per home.
