France: electricity prices and battery value
Day-ahead prices for France, how much a battery could trade each day, and how the market compares with its neighbours.
France is one bidding zone with a large nuclear fleet. Prices are flatter than in Germany most of the year, but cold spells and low nuclear availability bring sharp evening peaks, and spring weekends with solar bring negative hours. Network tariffs for businesses include charges tied to subscribed power, so a battery that lowers the peak can cut the subscription.
