Heat forecast lab: tomorrow's heat demand, tested the hard way

A district heating plant decides tomorrow's boilers, tank and reserve bids before noon today. That plan is only as good as tomorrow's heat forecast. Here a deep-learning model and a strong conventional model forecast Helsinki's real district heat, hour by hour, using only what a control room knows at 10:00 the day before, including the weather forecast of that morning, not the weather that later happened.
